Ulysses Quartet will be joined by acclaimed clarinetist Oskar Espina-Ruiz in an exciting program of classic chamber music. Experience intimate works by Vivaldi, Richter, Royer, Seth Grosshandler, and Hungarian and Armenian folk songs, and get to know them after the performance in a Meet-the-Artists event.
Ulysses Quartet will be joined by clarinetist Oskar Espina-Ruiz for their debut at Chamber Music Maryland.
Highlighting the evening is a tribute to groundbreaking women composers: the innovative Caroline Shaw, recipient of both GRAMMY and Pulitzer Prizes, and the pioneering Fanny Mendelssohn, a 19th-century composer who redefined the norms of her time. The program also includes Brahms’ Clarinet Quintet, composed at the height of his expressive powers, featuring some of his most beautifully composed music.

The Shakespeare Concerts will present an evening of vocal music with string quartet at Marsh Chapel on the Boston University campus. Works will include Joseph Summer, Robert Schumann, Clara Schumann, Johannes Brahms, Arturo Fernandez, Omar Najmi, and others.
Ulysses will perform in the Sala de Conciertos at the Biblioteca Luis Ángel Arango, presented by the Banco de la República en Colombia.
